Here are some great tips to help you prepare for your Senior Portrait Session:

Get some sleep!

Make sure to get a good night's rest before your Senior Portrait Session! Not only will you feel better, but you will be more relaxed and look better, too!

Clothes

Pick out clothes that best describe you. Make sure to have all the accessories - belts, shoes, jewelry, etc. Have all your clothes ready and organized the night before. Show up to you appointment in your first outfit to help save time.

Arrive Early

Show up a few minutes early before your scheduled appointment to give yourself plenty of time to get signed in and ready for your session.

Bring a Friend

It's always a good idea to bring a friend (or parent) to help you! They can help bring out your best smile, help with wardrobe, and maybe even get a few shots with you!

Props

Bring some props! What helps define your personality? Are you musical, athletic, academic? Think outside the box and bring props that show off your interests.

Hair and Make-Up

It's always a good idea to give your hair time to grow out a little before your portraits. If you are going for a totally new look, give yourself at least a week to get used to it. Be sure to bring hair spray, straighteners, curling irons, and anything else you might need for a last-minute touch up. Make sure that your make-up looks natural and is even. Try to avoid bright-colored nail polish. Remember, everything should compliment you, not distract attention away from you.

Smile!

It may sound a little crazy, but practice your smile! Spend some time in front of the mirror to nail down your best smile. Make sure to look your best! Then, just relax, have fun, and enjoy your Senior Portraits!
